Welcome to the Client Review app. This guide explains how to review pages, add notes, save your progress, and submit a stage for approval.
What the review app does
- Lets you review the pages included in a stage.
- Lets you add point notes directly on the page.
- Keeps comments with each note.
- Lets you save each page as you go.
- Lets you approve a page as-is when no changes are needed.
- Lets you submit the full stage when your review is complete.
How to start
- Open the review link you were given.
- Use the left sidebar to move between pages in the stage.
- Review the current page in the center viewer.
- Use the right sidebar to see notes and note status.
Understanding the screen
Top bar: Save the page, approve the page as-is, submit the stage, or give final approval when requested.
Left sidebar: Shows the pages in the current stage. Each page can have its own notes and save state.
Center viewer: Shows the live page you are reviewing. You can browse the site from here.
Right sidebar: Shows page details, note status, and the notes list. Open a note to see the full conversation.
Adding a note
- Click Add note.
- Click the spot on the page where you want to leave feedback.
- Enter your note in the note editor.
- Save the note.
- Use the note modal later to add comments or edit the note text.
Notes are point-based. Keep each note focused on one issue so the conversation stays clear.
Commenting on a note
- Open a note from the notes list or by clicking its pin on the page.
- Use the note modal to read the conversation.
- Add your reply in the comment area.
- Save your comment.
Saving a page
Use Save Page whenever you finish a round of notes on the current page. This saves the current page review without submitting the full stage.
Approving a page as-is
If a page needs no changes, click Approve Page as Is. This marks the page as reviewed without adding notes.
If notes already exist on the page, the app will warn you before approving it as-is.
Submitting the stage
- Review each page in the stage.
- Save each page as you go.
- When the stage is complete, click Submit Stage.
- Confirm the submission when prompted.
Submitting the stage tells the project team your review is complete for this round.
Final approval
Use Final Approval only when the stage is truly complete and ready to be signed off.
Browsing pages that are not in the stage
You can browse the live site while reviewing. When you move to a page that is not part of the current stage, the app switches to Browsing only mode. In that mode, annotations are turned off until you return to a page that belongs to the stage.
Tips for smoother reviews
- Leave one issue per note.
- Save each page before moving to another page.
- Read existing note conversations before adding a new note on the same issue.
- Use approve-as-is only when no changes are needed.
- Submit the stage only after all stage pages are reviewed.
Troubleshooting
I cannot add a note.
Make sure you are on a page that belongs to the stage. If the app shows Browsing only, return to a stage page.
I moved to another page and my notes changed.
Notes are tied to the current stage page. When you browse to another stage page, the app loads that page’s notes.
I am leaving the page and got a warning.
That means you have unsaved changes. Save the page before leaving if you want to keep your latest edits.
