NMCC Story Social Publisher

NMCC Story Social Publisher is a WordPress publishing tool used to connect an authorized Google account to the NMCC website so approved administrators can upload and publish selected video content to YouTube from within the WordPress admin.

What this application does

This application is designed to help authorized website administrators manage story-based media publishing workflows for NMCC. When connected to a Google account with an associated YouTube channel, the plugin allows an administrator to:

authenticate with Google,
connect a YouTube channel to the WordPress site,
display the connected channel information inside the plugin settings,
upload approved videos to YouTube,
send video title, description, and related metadata selected by the administrator, and
store publishing status information for internal workflow purposes.

Google account access

The plugin uses Google authorization only for the features described on this page. It requests only the Google and YouTube access needed to authenticate the connected account, identify the connected YouTube channel, and upload video content and related metadata that the user explicitly chooses to publish.

Google user data this application may access

Depending on the permissions granted, the application may access:

basic Google account information, such as account identity information needed for sign-in,
YouTube channel details, such as channel name, channel ID, or channel image,
authorization tokens required to maintain the connection,
video files selected by the administrator for upload, and
video metadata entered by the administrator, such as title, description, and publish settings.

How Google user data is used

Google user data is used only to provide the visible, user-facing features of this plugin, including:

signing the user in and verifying the connected account,
showing which YouTube account or channel is connected,
uploading content to YouTube at the user’s direction,
tracking upload and publishing status inside WordPress,
troubleshooting connection or publishing errors, and
allowing the user to disconnect or reconnect the integration.

What this application does not do

It does not sell Google user data.
It does not use Google user data for advertising or marketing profiling.
It does not read Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, or Google Calendar data unless a separate feature is added and separately authorized.
It does not publish or upload content unless initiated by an authorized administrator.

Storage and retention

The plugin stores only the information reasonably necessary to keep the integration working, such as authorization tokens, connected account identifiers, channel details, and publishing status information. This information is retained only as long as needed to support the active integration, provide requested functionality, maintain security, and keep necessary business or technical records.

If the integration is disconnected or a deletion request is made, stored Google-connected data under our control will be deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate recordkeeping.

Revoking access and requesting deletion

Users may revoke this application’s Google access at any time through their Google account permissions settings or by disconnecting the integration inside the plugin, when available.

Please use the subject line NMCC Plugin Data Deletion Request and include enough information to identify the site, account, and connected channel. After verification, we will revoke stored access where applicable and delete covered Google-derived data under our control.
